Bhuvneshwar believes that the Samastipur-born player deserves a lot of credit for the way he is showing his tremendous ability to hit the white ball hard and for a long time.
“The way he is hitting shots. He is not slogging; he is hitting proper shots. For a 15-year-old kid, he is very mature. So yes, I think we should give him credit for the way he is batting and he is batting really well. So he deserves all the credit,” the veteran fast bowler was quoted as saying by NDTV in the post-match press conference.
Bhuvaneshwar also believes so SuryavanshiDespite being just fifteen years old, he bats with great maturity, which has resulted in the bowlers smashing runs all around the park.
“It's a T20 game, I mean. Yes, he is young and batting very well. He is batting maturely, but we never felt like anyone was beating us. If a 15-year-old kid can bat like that, even if he is 25 or 15, I think it is part of the T20 game.”
He said, “Yes, we had plans; we also dropped a catch, but that happens in cricket. So we couldn't execute what we wanted to do and I think that's part of T20, so we are not too worried. We tried to do what we could. I know from outside the game looks a little slow compared to what it looks like from inside. Vaibhav played good shots.
