Titans of Gujarat defeated Rajasthan Royals by 58 runs in the ongoing Indian Premier League match at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Wednesday, April 9. This victory marked the fourth of the GT season.
After being sent to bat first, GT recorded 56 in Powerplay. Shubman Gill (two of two) was rejected quickly by a fierce distribution by Jofra Archer. Jose Butler (25 to 36 runs) was trapped in front of Mahesh Thekshana delivery on the last ball of the 10th over.
Sudarson's knock of 82 runs ended during the innings. Earlier, Shah Rukh Khan's 36 played a very important role in maintaining speed. Rahul Tawatia scored 24 runs in 24 out of 12. The second and third overs produced the wickets of Yashasvi Jaiswal (six to seven) and Nitish Rana (one in three). Sanju Samson and Ryan Parag ensured that RR increased to 57 in its powerplay. RR took out for 159 in 19.2 overs. Prasad Krishna returned excellently well to finish with 3/24 figures in his name in his entire quota.
