Defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) are taking the domestic team at Delhi Capital (DC) at Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi on 29 April. DC captain Exer Patel The toss won and selected to the first field.
After the KKR opener made a good start in the powerplay, the DC came to bowl in the 8th over of the skipper match. In the second ball of the match, KKR skipper Ajinkya Rahane was bowled, the left -arm spinner gave a slider on the leg. The ball defeated the right -handed batsman and was stuck with delivery. The ball hit the pad and declared LBW. The KKR top-order batter went away before providing the decision by the umpire, and the left-handed bowler dropped the batsman for 26 runs.
In the second over of his spell, Exer Patel bowled Venkatesh Iyer a full and outside for delivery. The left -handed batsman missed the ball, found a top edge and was caught by Vipraj Nigam. The left -handed batsman went for 7 runs, while Exer Patel took his second wicket of the match.

DC spinners tried to choke KKR batsmen since the powerplay. For KKRAngkrish Raghuvanshi was the top scorer, scoring 32 runs, where the remaining top-order batsmen came out for Major Run. Exer Patel took two wickets in his back to back overs and completed his spell for just 27 runs.
Meanwhile, KKR needed to win the remaining five matches in IPL 2025 to get into the playoffs. DCs are comfortable in top-four positions with six wins and will aim to win the game in front of their home crowd and strengthen the position of their playoffs.
