However, Sanju Samson played just 19 balls for his 31 before hurting a side strain. Ryan Parag thanked the exor quickly, but Shimron Hetmier and Dhruv Jurlel kept the rate of asking in the check. By the time Stark returned to the final over, Royals needed nine to win.

Mitchell Starc created a masterclass in death bowling to guide the capitals to win a super over against Royals. With just nine runs in the finals of his chase, Starc gave all his experience and for a long time. He put Yorker under pressure, scored only eight runs and made a run-out opportunity on the final ball to push the game into the super over. In the super over, RR started strong, running up to 10/0 after three balls. But Stark bounced back. The first Ryan Parag was run out after the mix-up and then, the next ball, another run-out-this time Yashsvi Jaiswal caught thanks for the brilliant throw from Jake Fraser-Macgurak and completed Stark's finish in stumps. He was also awarded the Player of the Match Award for his spell.

2. Sanju Samson retiring hurts, hurts major

3. Abhishek-Rahul works as a crisis managers
The capitals began their innings with disappointment, both Jake Fraser-Makegurk and Karun Nair in four overs. But Abishek Porl and KL Rahul put a stitch together, which kept the team back. Young Poral scored 23 runs from Tushar Deshpande's over, including a flicker for six.
