The capital of Delhi topped the Lucknow Super veterans by one wicket in Visakhapatnam on 24 March in the first nail-beeter of IPL 2025. Chasing the target of 210, Ashutosh Sharma played an innings of his life, breaking an unbeaten 66 balls off 31 balls to win an incredible victory for three balls.
Earlier, LSG posted 209/8, thanks to Nicholas Gariban's 75 runs 30 and Michel Marsh for 72 to 36 runs. The pair's 87-ri partnership had put LSG during an even bigger clan, but Mitchell Starc (3/42) and Kuldeep Yadav (2/20) limited them to 209.
DC chased down for a poor start, losing three wickets inside two overs. However, Vipraj Nigam had some expectations from LSG before taking the game away from 15 balls out of 39. His fearless batting and finishing DC took DC home.

3. Stark, Kuldeep shared five wickets between them
Mitchell Starc and Kuldeep Yadav gave important mantras which kept the LSG in the backfoot. The pair shared five wickets, helping the side back to the game. Stark's brilliant moment came when he dismissed Nicholas Gorn. Stark bowled to a perfect injuring Yorker, who crashed at stumps. This was the fourth time when Stark rejected Gorn in six T20s. Their two other victims were Shahbaz Ahmed and Ravi Bishnoi.
On the other hand, Kuldeep was DC's most affordable bowler. He rejected Rishabh Pant and Ayush Badoni and took 2/20 in four overs. In particular, Kuldeep has now rejected the pants three times in the IPL innings.
