Silver Patidar captain's knock paved the way Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) to post a commendable total of 196/7 against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on Friday, 28 March.

Former India captain Mathisha Pathirana was struggling to break the hut before hitting the helmet with the bouncer to start the 11th over. Kohli returned firmly by killing the Sri Lankan speedster for six and four in the next two delivery.

Patidar was dropped thrice in two overs, but Kohli was not lucky as his captain. The 36 -year -old was dismissed for 31 runs off 30 balls by Noor. Patidar paid CSK for his fielding laps as he scored 51 runs off just 32 balls. Jitesh Sharma played a small cameo, but it was Tim David, which helped RCB to break three sixes in the last over to end one high by breaking three sixes.

After the end of the first innings, Noor, which ended with a 3/36 figure in four overs, noted that the pitch did not take much turn to the spinners. He also considered the presence of a wicketkeeper as Dhoni behind the stumps as great.

Really grateful for the purple cap and hopefully I keep it till the end of the tournament. The pitch was a bit different, it was not too twist and I wanted to bowl length delivery.
