CSK assistant bowling coach Sreedharan Shriram was asked about this during the post -match press conference, and neither responded to confirming the reports.
“I don't know. I have to ask him if he has said so,” Shri Ram said today as quoted by India.

Shriram credited new faces who stepped into a season interrupted by injuries.
Shriram said, “There are changes in them. Such injuries occurred, and we had to change. Fortunately for us, people who came well. I will not go back and will not dig greatly in it, saying that we made mistakes on the auction table,” Sriram said.
