The 2025 edition of the Indian Premier League between Punjab Kings and Rajasthan Royals saw RR victorious by 50 runs at the Mulanpur Cricket Stadium on Saturday, 5 April. With this victory, RR won its second serial game of the season.
RR abolished the powerplay at 53 without losing any wicket. The first wicket that fell Sanju Samson (38 to 26). Yashasvi Jaiswal dropped a few overs after Samson's dismissal for a well -built 67 (45). Both wickets were taken by Locky Ferguson. Ryan Parag did not stay at 43* in 25 delivery. Marcus Stoinis proved to be the most expensive bowler, scoring 48 runs in his four overs.
Priyash Arya and Shreyas Iyer were rejected in the first over of Chase of 206 runs. PBKS left in all kinds of problems rejected by Stoinis in the fourth over. Nehal Wadhera (62 in 41) and Glenn Maxwell (30 out of 21) scored 88 for the fifth wicket. However, everything went different after the two batsmen returned to the shed. Archer ended with three wickets. Sandeep Sharma and Mahesh Thehakshana secured a couple of wickets.
