defending champion Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) started their title defense with a bang by registering a spectacular six-wicket win over Sunrisers Hyderabad at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on March 28.

SRH's stand-in captain Ishan Kishan led brilliantly with the bat, scoring 80 runs in just 38 balls. Apart from them, Heinrich Klaasen (31 runs in 22 balls) and Aniket Verma (43 runs in 18 balls) played their roles well and posted a respectable score of 201 in their 20 overs.

But, this target was easily chased down by the hosts, who achieved a comfortable win in just 15.4 overs and lost only four wickets. Virat Kohli was once again the star with the bat and he played an unbeaten inning of 69 runs in 38 balls. Left-handed batsman Devdutt Padikal performed strongly and scored 61 runs in just 26 balls. It was a comprehensive victory for the home team.
