Sunrisers Hyderabad successfully pulled the second biggest run-chase IPL History in the 27th match of the 18th edition of the league. Responding to PBKS's 245/6, SRH scored 247/2 in its 18.3 overs, thanks to Abhishek Sharma's exceptional batting performance, which together with the performance of Travis Head and Harshal Patel.
PBKS won the toss and opted to bat first. Shreyas Iyer played an extraordinary knock, as he scored 82 (36), including 6 fours and six sixes. At the other end, he received good support from Priyash Arya, Prabhasimran Singh and Marcus Stoinis, who scored 36 (13), 42 (23), and 34*(11) respectively. As a result, PBK posted 245/6 in its 20 overs.
For SRH, Harshal Patel and debutant Ishaan Malinga were influential, who claimed 4/42 and 2/45 in their 4 overs mantras respectively. Mohammed Shami accepted 0/75 in his 4 overs, the most expensive for an Indian bowler, and the second most expensive for a bowler in the league history. The pursuit of 146 was not easy. But Head and Abhishek had other plans.

The initial SRH pair scored 173 runs for the first wicket, which made the game away from PBK. While the head scored 66 (37), it was Sharma's night, which scored a stunning 141 (55) and broke several records. His knock helped SRH chase a total of 8 wickets with 9 balls.
