BCCI has invited trouble on itself on potential trademark violations. The Delhi High Court has issued a legal notice to the Indian Cricket Board on the naming of AI robot 'Champak'. Popular children's comic magazine, Champak, has complained to the BCCI of trademark violations. The Delhi High Court has demanded a BCCI to respond to Champak's allegations.

The magazine publisher Delhi Press has filed a case against the Indian Cricket Board for a possible trademark violation.
