The Control Board for Cricket in India (BCCI) has launched a series of new rules for the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL)) 2025 season, with a main focus on restricting access to the dressing room. To maintain discipline and simplify match -day processes, BCCI has banned family members (players and assistant employees) from entering the dressing room even during practice days.

In addition, IPL’s signature orange cap and purple cap holders should wear them for at least two overs during the game and after the match. Players are also banned from wearing sleeveless jersey during presentation ceremonies, in which frequent violations are fined financially.
