Central contracts for the Indian cricket team are expected to be announced soon, in which there is no surprise in the list. However, the Control Board for Cricket in India (BCCI) may consider concessions for some players who cannot meet general eligibility criteria for central retaines.
Top contenders have left -handed batsman Abhishek SharmaWidely considered one of the best emerging talents in world cricket. Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) players are expected to be given grade C category, which offers an annual Retainership of INR 1 crore.

Abhishek Sharma is depicted in 17 T20I, out of which 12 eligibility falls within the window, which is usually considered from October to September. Meanwhile, another player in the controversy is Andhra all -rounder Nitish Kumar ReddyWho has played five Tests in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy (BGT) series and four T20I. They have completed the required number of testing appearances, and are likely to make it in the contract list.
Right -handed pacer Harshit Rana is also being considered. Although he has played only two tests, five Odis and a T20I, which do not individually meet the criteria, their cumulative international appearances can make them eligible to include them under a special provision.
Varun Chakraborty (four Odis and 18 T20I) and Shreyas Iyer are in excellent form and were among the standout artists in the Champions Trophy. Senior players like Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Jasprit Bumrah, and Ravindra Jadeja are ready to continue in the grade A+ category, with minimal changes in graduation.
