Punjab Kings (PBKS) Present in the Indian Premier League (IPL) since the first season. Despite their lack of success on the field, they are considered one of the most entertaining franchises in the history of the tournament and have been a part of some memorable games.
Last year, the Shreyas Iyer-led team reached only its second IPL final. On the way to the final, they played some very exciting games, which have now become a part of IPL folklore.

3. Most captains in IPL history
Despite playing in only 18 IPL seasons, PBKS holds the record for the most number of captains leading the side in at least one game with 17. These include some of the biggest names of cricket like Virender Sehwag, Yuvraj Singh. adam gilchristShikhar Dhawan, Kumar Sangakkara, and Mahela Jayawardene, among others.
However, out of those 17 captains, only two have managed to take the franchise to the IPL final. They are George Bailey in 2014 and most recently Shreyas Iyer in 2025. Unfortunately, they finished runners-up on both occasions.
