Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) They enter the 2026 season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) as defending champions after dominating the side throughout last year and defeating Punjab Kings by six runs in the final. Now they have to play with a more responsible approach and mentality to defend their first title, which they achieved after a long wait of eighteen seasons.
They looked quite active in the auction, filling minor voids and signing reliable backups in key areas. With a jam-packed squad, if the Rajat Patidar-led unit intends to form a winning combination, there may be a few names who may have to sit out for the season.
Here are 3 RCB players who could be ruled out for the entire IPL 2026
3) Jordan Cox

The English wicketkeeper-batsman was picked at the base price in the auction as a reliable backup to Phil Salt. Jordan Cox Has established a reputation for being a fierce ball striker, with an aggressive style of batting. He led the run-scoring charts in the 2025 Men's Hundred, helping Oval Invincibles (now MI London) to their third win. Apart from performing well with the bat, he adds superb skills behind the stumps and is also a gun fielder.
Cox is obviously a similar backup to Salt, but with Jitesh Sharma already in the team, his services as a wicketkeeper may not be necessary. And as a pure batsman, his direct competition comes from players like Devdutt Padikkal, Venkatesh Iyer and English hotshot Jacob Bethell, who has the added advantage of being a left-handed batsman.
