Former Indian wicketkeeper-batsman Dinesh Karthik And squash star Deepika Pallikal has happily announced the arrival of her baby girl Raha Pallikal Karthik, adding another joy to her family.
He shared the news on social media expressing his gratitude and happiness and introduced Raha as the younger sister of his twin sons, Kabir and Zayan. The couple married in traditional Hindu and Christian ceremonies on August 25, 2015, and welcomed their twins in 2021.
The Instagram post read, “With blessings in our hearts and gratitude beyond words, we happily welcome our precious daughter into this world. Kabir and Gian are thrilled to introduce their little sister Raha Pallikal Karthik. Love, Deepika and Dinesh.”
Former Indian international Karthik enjoyed a distinguished career as a wicketkeeper-batsman before moving into coaching and commentary after retiring from competitive cricket. For over two decades, he represented India in Test, ODI and T20 Internationals and later served as a consultant and batting coach for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the Indian Premier League (IPL).
Karthik is currently part of RCB's coaching staff as the batting coach, working with a highly experienced support team that includes Andy Flower as head coach and Omkar Salvi as bowling coach. The support staff includes Richard Halsall as assistant coach, Mallolan Rangarajan as spin bowling coach and player identification manager, Basu Shankar as strength and conditioning coach, Ivan Speechly and James Pipe as team physiotherapists, Navaneeta Gautam as athletic therapist and Dr Shikha Dhoundiyal as team doctor.
RCB ended their 17-year IPL trophy drought by defeating Punjab Kings (PBKS) in the IPL 2025 final. The team will aim to defend the title in IPL 2026, retain its core players and strengthen the squad through the mini-auction. The 19th edition of the IPL will begin on March 28, with RCB facing Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the first match of the season at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium.
