Rohit Sharma has joined the Mumbai Indians training camp ahead of the Indian Premier League 2026 season, as the Mumbai Indians team announced his arrival in style.
As can be seen in the video, the former MI captain joined the team for the upcoming season. He was fully dressed in the match jersey and was welcomed by his long-time Mumbai and India teammate Shardul Thakur.
Rohit Later joined the practice session where others were already sweating. The right-handed batsman batted against Shardul and some other fast bowlers.

Mumbai Indians officially began their pre-season preparations earlier this week, with head coach Mahela Jayawardene overseeing the session along with members of the support staff. A number of players, including experienced names and young talents, reported for the initial phase of the camp as the franchise began preparations for the new season.
The rest of the team is expected to join in the coming days, with the team looking to gradually increase their intensity ahead of the tournament. MI will begin their IPL 2026 campaign on March 29 against Kolkata Knight Riders at the iconic Wankhede Stadium.
Rohit, who has been away from Tests and T20Is for India, is set to return to T20 action in the IPL and will once again play a key role at the top of the order as Mumbai Indians aim for a record-breaking sixth title.
Meanwhile, Mumbai Indians coach Mahela Jayawardene He opened up on what he wants from his players in these pre-season practice sessions.
“There is always something special on the first day of pre-season. You see the players coming in, the energy going up and the aim is to start strong. We have boys who know this franchise inside out and we have some exciting new faces coming in,” Asianet News quoted him as saying.
