lockie ferguson He played just four matches in IPL 2025 before being ruled out of the rest of the season due to injury. The New Zealand fast bowler has had to battle injuries in recent years. While he can prove to be vital for any team when he is fit, when he is not at his best, he can give away a lot of runs.

Punjab Kings are likely to start with Marcus Stoinis, Marco Jansen, Ben Dwarshuis and Mitchell Owen as their four overseas players in the line-up. In the seam-bowling department, Xavier Bartlett is also an option, and he can perform quite well with his pace and bounce. Azmatullah Umarzai can also provide an all-round option to the Kings line-up. Therefore, it may be difficult for Ferguson to get games.
