quinton de kockThere has been a return to the pool of players to be included in the 2026 Indian Premier League auction. The name of South African wicketkeeper-batsman will come in the third batch of players. The event is scheduled to take place in Abu Dhabi on 16 December.
Kolkata Knight Riders had decided to release him before the auction. Initially, he was not included in the list of players to be part of the auction. De Kock headlines the latest list of 35 players (23 Indians and 12 foreigners), who were not initially present in the preliminary spreadsheet.
“The auction will involve 350 players and will begin at 1pm UAE time (2.30pm IST) on Tuesday, December 16 at the Etihad Arena, Abu Dhabi,” BCCI said in a mail sent to franchises on December 8, as quoted by Cricbuzz.
