'We should all come together to show care and solidarity' – Dinesh Karthik's tribute to the families of stampede victims


Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) mentor and batting coach Dinesh karthikOn Thursday, September 4, on 4 June, during the team's win ceremony, M. Outside the Chinnaswamy Stadium, the tragic stampede expressed their condolences and increased their support.

Stamped came when an estimated crowd of about three lakh people gathered for RCB's Meden Indian Premier League (IPL) Trophy celebrations. The incident killed 11 people and more than 50 others were injured.

After the tragedy, RCB announced financial assistance of every 25 lakhs every 25 lakhs for the families of the deceased. With franchise, fans and members of the cricketing fraternity, expressed deep grief and solidarity with the affected people.

On Monday, September 1, RCB unveiled the structure of RCB Care, a long -term initiative dedicated to its fans. The purpose of the program is to support, empower and uplift the '12th Man Army' through meaningful tasks and continuous commitment.

The statement said, “They were our part. Our city makes our community and our team unique. Their absence will echo in the memories of each of us.”

RCB further emphasized that INR 25 lakh assistance is not only financial assistance, but also a pledge of constant care for compassion, unity and bereaved families. Under the RCB Care Initiative, the franchise assured that it would be supported beyond monetary relief, which would focus on sharp, transparent and compassionate assistance to tragedy -affected fans and families.
