The IPL 2025 ended with the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at the end by winning its first title. This season was Vidarbha star wicketkeeper-butter Jitesh Sharma, one of the top actors for the franchise, would now want to offer services in the inaugural edition of the Vidarbha Pro T20 League.
Jitesh had a great IPL 2025, where he portrayed in 15 matches, he scored an average of 37.28 and scored an unprecedented strike rate of 176.35. He will now lead the NECO Master Blaster in the upcoming T20 League, which will be played in Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium (VCA) in Nagpur from 5 June to 15 June. Jitesh, who joined the star attraction in the competition, will launch his campaign against India Rangers on 6 June.
Apart from Master Blasters and Rangers, there are four other teams in the Franchise League, including Nagpur Herose, Nagpur Titans, Orange Tigers and Pragaraia Strikers. The opening game will be played between strikers and Titans, which is scheduled for 2:45 pm. Strikers will be led by Yash Kadam, and Titans will be led by Vidarbha's 2024–25 Ranji Trophy-winner captain, Akshay Wadkar.
Karun Nair and Harsh Dubey Miss Vidarbh T20 tournament
While Vidarbha Pro T20 League will have some big stars, there will also be some big names that will disappear. The two biggest names within the Vidarbha setup are Karun Nair and Harsh Dubey, who will not be part of the franchise tournament as they are currently on national duty in England.
While Nair is nominated in the five -match Test series against 'Three Lions', Harsh Dubey is representing India A Squad. Both were part of the first informal test between India A and England Lions, in which Nair scored an incredible double hundred goals and Dubey played an easy cameo of 32 and took a wicket in the game.
