Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) ended the nine -year waiting for the IPL final berth with a win on Punjab Kings (PBK) in Uttempted Eight wickets at Uttempt 1 in New Chandigarh. Asked to bat first on a bouncy track, PBKs fell under pressure as they were bundled for only 101 in 14.1 overs. Yash Dayal and Josh Hazelwood made it difficult for the Punjab batsmen to settle from the beginning. Suyash Sharma pasted with three wickets as PBK lost wickets in regular intervals. Despite being a batsman till number 10, PBKS failed badly.
In response, RCB easily chased the target. Before finishing unbeaten for 56 off 27 balls, Phil Salat made a 23 balls fifty, the fastest in the IPL. Although Virat Kohli fell quickly, salt and silver Patidar quickly reached the small target, sealed the victory for 10 overs. Opener Phil Salat played a delightful innings of 56* to take RCB in line. His 54 match winning partnership with Mayank Agarwal put the team on the driving seat. In a knock of 27 balls, he broke six borders and three sixes, playing at a strike rate 207.40.
3. RCB qualifies for the IPL final after nine years
The franchise -based franchise finally ended its nine -year waiting to find itself in the clash of the summit. Being the only team to win all his distant sports, RCB ensured the record to continue as they once again conquered in a distant stability.
