Jitesh Sharma enchanted the cricket fraternity after playing a surprising knock against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on Tuesday, 28 May, which helped the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) win an important clash at the Ekna Cricket Stadium.
Chasing 228, RCB lost Virat Kohli at 12th position for 123 runs. He needed 105 runs from 52 delivery with six wickets. Jitesh started his innings directly in the sixth gear, beating the LSG bowlers around the park. He eventually remained unbeaten on 85 off 33 balls, hitting eight fours and sixth sixes, RCB left Rome at home with six wickets and eight balls.
RCB batting coach and mentor Dinesh karthik Jitesh described as a special cricketer and revealed how hard he is working in the off-season, chasing the big goals, focusing on the rest calm. Former India wicketkeeper-Bater said that Jitesh supported his skills and took RCB to qualifiers 1, transported to a significant stability.
Karthik said during a match conversation with Giostar, “Jeetesh Sharma is a special cricketer. He really worked hard in the off-season. He did a lot of work to understand how to chase big yogas and how to remain calm in those types of situations.”
He said, “Today was a big example when you return your skills and more importantly you rely on the shots you know. It is also about distributing in big moments,” he said.

Karthik said that it was very good to see Jitesh taking responsibility and to see RCB for a record run-chase. The 31 -year -old scored his first score in his first half century in his IPL career in his 46th innings.
“Sometimes, as a player and a leader, you need to step into your senior players. They have played a lot of cameo, but today it was great to see that they fifty and more importantly to stay out and do not take us in line,” Karthik said.
RCB will now face Punjab Kings at Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in Mulanpur in Qualifier 1 on Thursday, 29 May.
