Cricketer is likely to retire after IPL 2025 season

The IPL 2025 is almost finished, and the attention is slowly moving the playoffs and beyond. While teams will be focused on winning the title to participate in the playoffs, Gujarat Titans, Punjab Kings, Mumbai Indians and RCBs, other teams will be expected to strengthen in the upcoming edition. Teams have to think about the retention and release of some of their players.

Meditation will move towards players who are old and contact in the last few years of their career. Some veterans have been playing IPL since the late 2000s and are likely to retire in the upcoming sessions. While some of them could play their last match in the IPL, there is uncertainty on the availability of some of the league's leading players.

There are five players here who may have played their last IPL game this year:

Moeen Ali will soon be 38 years old and is one of those cricketers to retire from the highest level to focus on playing in the T20 league. However, the IPL is the most competitive league, and Moin can reach a platform where he cannot get dialects given the increasing demand for his age and other roles.

While Ali has been one of the major foreign players in the IPL over the years, the demand for certain roles has increased in the last few sessions. Not all foreign spinners receive dialects from the franchise, as they could get unaccounted spinners at an affordable price. Not to forget, Moeen is not the same batsman he was a few years ago.
