Delhi Capital Pesar Mukesh Kumar During the 63rd match of IPL 2025 against Mumbai Indians, a penalty of 10% of his match fee has been imposed for dissolving the IPL Code of Conduct. The incident took place at the Wankhede Stadium on Wednesday, where Delhi's 59 -run defeat confirmed the exit from the playoff controversy.
Mukesh accepted the approval imposed for a level 1 offense by the match referee Daniel Manohar under Article 2.2, which refers to cricket equipment or clothing, ground equipment or fixtures and misuse of fittings during a match. Mukesh's frustration was clarified during the Must-win match, which scored 48 runs in his four overs, scoring 48 runs in the 19th place of 27, making MI a total push.
The over saw a series of borders by Suryakumar Yadav and Naman Dhir, which took Mumbai to 180/5. Following Mukesh's response, incorporating the misuse of equipment, caused their fine. Despite taking two wickets from Will Jack and Tilak Verma, Mukesh struggled to include the flow of runs, especially in the overs of death.
The game looked balanced for the first 18 overs, until the last 12 delivery of the innings flourished by Mi. Delhi spinners, Kuldeep Yadav and Vipraj Nigam bowled brilliantly through the middle overs. In response, DC's batting line-up collapsed against Jaspreet Bumrah and Mitchell Santner. Despite a fight with young Sameer Rizvi (39) and Vipraj (20), DC was excluded for 121 in 18.2 overs. Combined six wickets of Santner and Bumrah won a comfortable win for MI. Meanwhile, Mukesh played 11 out of 13 matches of DC this season, claiming 11 wickets at an economy rate of 10.11.
