KL Rahul, injured for Miss MI Clash, leaves training in the midst of training

Delhi's capitals may remember their star batsman KL Rahul against Mumbai Indians, citing knee injury during a training session on Tuesday, May 20. Due to no official update on their fitness, Rahul's Availability for sports at Wankhede Stadium on 21 May is uncertain.

Rahul has so far scored a great average of 61.63 in 11 matches and 438 runs at a strike rate of 148.05. He even broke a century in the last match of DC against Titans in Gujarat. However, during Tuesday's training, Mukesh's delivery hit Rahul on the right knee, forcing him to pay medical attention and left the practice session in the middle of a significant encounter.

Meanwhile, with 13 points out of 12 matches, Capital must win the remaining two matches to qualify for the playoffs. On the other hand, Mumbai Indians are fourth with 14 points and fourth with better net run rate. The upcoming match is a virtual knockout for both teams.

If KL Rahul fails to recover on time, DC Karun Nair is likely to bring back to XI. Nair, who scored 89 off 40 balls against Mumbai in the season, struggled in later games, scored only 64 runs in six innings. Nevertheless, his previous performance against MI may probably remember him as a opener. The capitals will not have to worry about wicketkeeping duties, however, as Abishek Poral has handled those responsibilities in recent games.

In particular, the Indian Meteorological Department has issued a yellow warning to Mumbai, expecting heavy rains and thunderstorms over the next few days. If the rain excludes the game, both teams will share points, making the playoff landscriptions more complicated.
