Speaking on the eve of its first match after the IPL resumed, all -rounder Vipraj Nigam of Delhi Capital said, “We are taking it as a new beginning. Our attention is on how we started our campaign with the first game, and we will try to continue that pace.
He said, “We have some replacement. Mitchell Starc is difficult to change, but we have re -organized as a team. We do not want to pay attention to the absence of players who are not here, but we will try to give our best with available players.”
Speaking about his equation with Kuldeep Yadav, Vipraj said, “The good thing is that we are from the same state, and I have played a good number of matches with him. IPL is a new experience for me, he has been playing for a long time and sees me as a player and a younger brother.”
Asked about the importance of domestic cricket and state T20 league, the 20 -year -old said, “The domestic season is always important for an Indian player. You have to prepare for all three formats. If T20 starts early, IPL becomes a good experience for you, but it does not always like it.
He said, “The State League gives a similar experience. It is the same process and pressure. I have been playing in the State League for the last two sessions, and I had a great experience. It is now helping me in the IPL, the state league plays a very important role,” he said.
Delhi Capital will take Gujarat Titans in its 12th match of IPL 2025 at Arun Jaitley Stadium on Sunday, May 18.
