Shardul Thakur sets for Test return against England

All rounder Shardul Thakur One of the players who are missing from the Indian test side. In particular, Thakur played his last game against South Africa at Centurion in 2023, but recently made a comeback in domestic cricket and IPL with some great performances this season.

The Ranji Trophy was one of the best artists for Mumbai in the Trophy, and is one of the most wicket -taking for the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in the IPL. The Pace-Bauling all-rounder took 35 wickets and scored 505 runs for Mumbai in the Red-Ball tournament, with 12 wickets in nine matches for Lucknow franchise in the T20 league.

According to Cricbuzz, these demonstrations have inspired a 33 -year -old cricketer to a long time at the Indian test squad at the age of 18 months. This will be another opportunity for Thakur to demonstrate its ability in England, which traditionally assists seamers with good seams and bounce.

In particular, the last time Thakur was played in England, in 2021, where he participated in three matches, took eight wickets and scored 122 runs, including two half -centuries. The series ended in the draw from 2–2.

Shres Iyer's inclusion seems suspicious

Whereas Shardul ThakurThere is a possibility in Test cricket that he is promising, his Mumbai team partner Shreyas Iyer's possibilities still look very thin. Iyer has also performed brilliantly in the domestic circuit and is doing well in the IPL for Punjab Kings (PBK). However, the abundance of talent within the team can be challenging for him to break into the side.

Iyer has achieved a lot in domestic cricket in the last 15 months and has improved his game against short-picked bowling. However, his possibility for tour against England depends on the news around Virat Kohli, which can consider retirement from the five-day format.
