Control Board for Cricket in India (BCCI) is taking active measures to ensure safety of players, assistant employees and broadcasting crew which were included in the abandoned IPL 2025 Conflicts between Punjab Kings (PBK) and Delhi Capital (DC) on Thursday, 08 May.
Allegedly, the high-voltage encounter was left in the first innings due to cross-border tension. The audience was advised to get out of the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamshala as soon as possible. Now, the Indian Cricket Board is planning to do a special train to get players, assistant employees and plans to get the crew out of Dharamshala.
“We are organizing a special train close to Dharamshala to safely bring everyone home. So far, the match has been closed and the stadium has been evacuated. We will take a call on the future of the tournament based on tomorrow's situation. So far, the safety of the players is extremely important.
According to reports, players from both sides have returned it to their hotels. They will now wait for further orders from BCCI. It is important to note that the airport in Dharamshala is closed and there is still no clarity when the players will be returning from the hills.
BCCI had already shifted the next game of Punjab to Ahmedabad in Dharamshala. The encounter is scheduled to be held against Mumbai Indians on Sunday, 11 May. However, the latest reports suggest that the future of the 18th edition of the IPL may be in danger.
In the game, Punjab Kings Priyash Arya and Prabhasimran Singh were in a commanding position at 122/1 in 10.1 overs after a self -centered half -century. In the east, he departed after climbing 70 balls in 34 balls with the help of five fours and six sixes. Shreyas Iyer joined Prabhasimran in the beach, batting for 50 runs in just 28 delivery.
