Sunrisers Hyderabad Sign Harsh Dubey as a replacement of injured Smaran Ravichandran


Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) has planted Vidarbha's spin-bouling all-rounder Harsh Dubey As a replacement of Smaran Ravichandran for the remainder of IPL 2025.

In particular, Ravichandran was a replacement player for Australia leg-spinner Adam Zampa, who was thrown out due to shoulder injury, the same issue that harassed him before the 2023 ODI World Cup. Zampa, who portrayed two matches for SRH as an influence player, returned home after reporting the tier of the shoulder. SRH initially brought the Karnataka young batsman as his replacement, but an unfortunate injury also sidelined him, making Dubey's IPL call-up.

Dubey, signed for INR 30 lakh, is coming out of a record-breaking Ranji Trophy season. The 22-year-old left-arm spinner had an unprecedented 2024–25 domestic campaign, ending with a historic 69 wickets, the highest in the same Ranji season. He crossed the previous record of 68 sets by Ashutosh Aman in 2018-19.

Duby's contribution to his third Ranji Trophy title in Vidarbha's winning run was important, which was safe on the basis of first innings against Kerala in the final. His bowling talent, including seven five wickets, saw him joining Jaydev Unadkat and Bishan Singh Bedi's elite. In particular, Dubey also contributed to the bat, scoring 472 runs including five half -centuries.

Born in Pune, who also painted in the TNCA League of Chennai, got a chance to interact with Ravi Ashwin and improve his skills on the spin-friendly track. Despite being ignored for the Dalip Trophy, he returned this season with more confidence and wickets under his name. Meanwhile, SRH did not have the largest weather as they are currently stationed ninth in the points table.
