Five -time champions Mumbai Indians (MI) are colliding with Rajasthan Royals (RR) at Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on 1 May. The RR skipper won the toss and opted to enter the field first by pointing out the potential impact of Dave in the game. However, the decision did not pay for them.
MI opener Rohit Sharma and South African Ryan Ricelton started their team with a brilliant initial partnership. The right hand and left-handed pair fully participated to each other and kept together for the first wicket with 116 runs. Ricelton scored 61 runs in 38 balls, while the former MI scipper scored 53 off 36 balls.
Middle-order batsmen Suryakumar Yadav and Hardik Pandya carried forward speed with an aggressive stand. The pair added 94 runs in just 44 delivery for the third wicket. Both batsmen remained unbeaten, where each scored 48 off 23 balls at an impressive strike rate of 208.7.
From RR bowling, Mahesh Thekshana and Ryan Parag managed to take one wicket each. MI scored a total of 218 runs at the end of his 20 overs.

MI has won five consecutive matches and currently ranks third in the points table, and they will now target a place in the playoffs. Meanwhile, the match is a win for RR to keep their playoff hopes alive in IPL 2025.
