Punjab Kings displayed a concrete performance against CSK in the 49th match of IPL 2025. The visiting side took the domestic side by four wickets and dropped them out of the tournament. Chasing 190, PBKS captain Shreyas Iyer scored 72 off 42 balls, Prabasimran Singh reduced his 54 runs with 36 balls to 42 balls.
With this result, MS Dhoni and his people have become the first side to exit the Cash-Rich League. PBKs lost their way to the ending moments, where they lost 2 wickets and took 10 balls to chase the last six runs. However, he finally chased successfully and sealed the fate of CSK.
Earlier, Iyer won the toss and invited the hosts to bat first. While Karran ensured that CSK was in a firm position for a good finish, there was something that probably changed the match. 3. Shreyas Iyer returns to form

In his stay in the middle, Iyer scored 72 runs in 41 balls, including 5 fours and 4 sixes at a strike rate of 175.6. The most influential aspect of his batting was that most of his boundaries came against some of the best T20 bowlers in today's world like Nur Ahmed and Matheesha Pathirana.
