The domestic team, Chennai Super Kings (CSK), closed the horns with Punjab Kings (PBK) at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai in IPL 2025. This was a difficult start for the hosts as the two openers fell cheaply during the powerplay.

In the 15th over, Azmatullah Omrajai bowled Sam Curan and reached half a century in style. He directly pushed a length delivery under the ground and scored some quick runs to bring his fifty. He celebrated half a century and raised his bat to accept the crowd and his comrades. He pointed to the stand by making a calling gesture, indicating on a personal message at his celebration.

Young Sheikh Rashid scored just 11 runs, and 17 -year -old Ayush Matre was dismissed for 7. Veteran all -rounder Ravindra Jadeja tried to use the powerplay, but scored only 17 runs.
The CSK is currently struggling at the bottom of the points table with only two wins in this year's IPL, and is desperate to win in front of fans of his home. On the other hand, PBK is ranked fifth and is in the playoff spot race.
Prior to this season, PBK defeated CSK by 18 runs in Mulanpur, a sensational knock with young left -handed Priya Arya (103 for 42), including seven fours and nine Six.
