'The team is always dangerous to lose nothing'

Punjab Kings (PBK) are set to take Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at MA Chidambaram Stadium on Wednesday, 30 April. While the CSK is falling at the bottom under the table, PBKS head coach James hoped that the team would not take men lightly.

CSK has managed only two of the nine matches played in IPL 2025. Meanwhile, PBK points are stationed on the number 5 number points on the table, and there is a very good chance to reach the playoffs. However, Hops said that he would not see much further and focus on the upcoming game against CSK.

“, I think it is always nothing to lose the dangerous playing teams. As you said, they can spoil your campaign. But the biggest thing for us is to focus on what is right before us,” was said by India today.

“We know if we play well in the next few weeks, is it at stake. Still, our focus should be on the first ball last night and has to play our best cricket in this game. Every team in the tournament is dangerous – at their night, they can beat anyone. So, we want to see much further. We are focusing on yesterday.”

Shreyas Iyer -led PBK has won five matches of the nine matches played this season. His most recent struggle against Kolkata Knight Riders was washed at the Eden Gardens.

What happened last time when PBKS met CSK in IPL 2025?

PBK hosted CSK in Mulanpur earlier this month. On a flat batting deck, Punjab posted on 42 balls on 219/6 behind Priyash Arya's brilliant 103. CSK was limited to 201/5 in its 20 overs as Locky Ferguson took two wickets.

Chepack is expected to provide a better competition between the bat and the ball on Wednesday. While PBK is favorite, it will not be intelligent to count CSK, especially on their homeground.
