Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) finished 180/5 in 20 overs after winning the toss and opted to bat first against Rajasthan Royals (RR) at Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on Saturday, 19 April.

LSG did not make a great start as he loses the wicket of in-form Mitchell Marsh in the third over. The Australian stallwart was rejected by Jofra Archer for four runs. Aiden Markram attacked the Rajasthan bowlers inside the powerplay. However, Sandeep Sharma hit the sixth over to send dangerous Nicholas Girin Packing.

Rishabh Pant could not make his half -century from the previous game as he was dismissed for three runs off nine balls by Wanindu Hasranga. At 54/3 in the eighth over, LSG was in dire need of a partnership. Markram and Ayush Badoni just provided that they added 76 runs off 49 balls. The South African T20 skipper was rejected after playing a good knock of 66 runs in 45 balls.

Badoni left immediately after scoring half a century. At the back of the innings, Abdul Samad hit four sixes off 10 balls to make 30 balls unbeaten at 30. His breathtaking cameo helped LSG to finish at 180/5. Hasranga was a bowlers' pick for RR. He ended with 2/31 figures in his four overs. Tushar Deshpande also made a good magic, scored just 26 runs in his four overs and took the solitary wicket. Sandeep Sharma was the most expensive bowler for RR as he conceded 55 runs in his four overs.

Rajasthan will need to bat wisely as 181 Sawai Mansingh Stadium has a very good goal, and there are some fine bowlers in LSG ranks. Leg-spinners Digvesh Rathi and Ravi Bishnoi are expected to play an important role for him. Meanwhile, everyone will be eyeing Yashsvi Jaiswal and 14 -year -old Vaibhav Suryavanshi, who is expected to open batting for the inaugural champion.
