So far, one of the most explosive competitions of IPL 2025, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) surprisingly followed a huge match of 246, defeating Punjab Kings (PBKS) by 8 wickets.
After winning the toss, PBKS first selected a flat to bat on Hyderabad pitch, and his batsmen created the most circumstances. Young opener Priyash Arya sent him to a flyer, scoring 36 runs off just 13 balls. He was well supported by Prabasimran Singh, who anchored the innings with Quickfire 42 (23). Skipper Shreyas Iyer dazzled with 82 balls in 36 balls, giving the clan power with a hurry of boundaries.
Despite the attack, the SRH bowlers had their moments, Harshal Patel selected the attack, claiming 4 wickets for 42 runs. Ishaan Malinga clung to 2 wickets, including the leading skull of Prabhasimran and Vadera.

Chasing 246, SRH openers blasted all guns. Travis Head set a tone with a blistering 66 off 37 balls. However, Abhishek Sharma stole the show, scoring 141 fours and 10 sixes in just 55 delivery by scoring 141 runs. His explosive innings chased the park like a walk.
Heinrich Klassen and Ishaan Kishan peacefully finished the job with nine balls, which reduced SRH to 247/2 in only 18.3 overs.
The Punjab bowlers looked strange under pressure, in which no run rate was to keep the run rate in the check. Arshdeep Singh was the only wicket -taking, while Yuzvendra Chahal was expensive despite lifting his head.
With this commanding victory, the SRH number climbed number 8 on the points table, leading to significant boost to their net run rate and speed.
