Players review records and achieve milestones

In a high-octane clash at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, Gujarat Titans put a 58-run win over Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2025 to win a brilliant show with both bat and ball.

Batting first, Gujarat Titans piled on 217/6 massively in their 20 overs. Sai Sudhrasan Breaking 82 runs in 53 balls, leading the charge, breaking 8 four and 3 sixes. Skipper Shubman Gill struggled, managed only 2 runs, but Jose Butler (36 to 25), Shah Rukh Khan (20 to 36 runs), and Rahul Tawatiya (24* 12) maintained the scoreboard tick. The Royals bowlers had a difficult outings, in which Tushar Deshpande and Mahesh Thekshana took two wickets, but scored more than 13 runs in 13 per over.

Chasing a steep goal, Rajasthan Royals quickly stumbled. Yashasvi Jaiswal (6) and Nitish Rana (1) went cheaply. Captain Sanju Samson tried to chase with 41 runs with 28 runs, while Shimron Hetmyer scored 52 runs for 32 runs. But successive successes from Gujarat bowlers sealed the deal. Prasad Krishna (3/24) and Rashid Khan (2/37) were standout artists, while Sai Kishore also clung to two wickets.

Rajasthan Royals were eventually excluded for 159 in 19.2 overs, which fell well with the target. With this win, Gujarat Titans topped the points table with 8 points out of 5 matches and an impressive NRR of +1.413. On the other hand, Rajasthan Royals reached seventh position with a negative NRR of just 4 points and -0.733.
