talking points
1. Kohli, Patidar half -century lays the foundation for a big score
After the salt was rejected in the first over, Padikkal and Kohli attacked the Mumbai bowlers to speed up. The bowlers were not spared and the pair continued. He finished the powerplay at 73/1. Kohli soon completed his fifty in 29 balls. Captains joined Kohli after Padikal's departure and formed a 48 -run partnership in 31 balls.
Padical came out, blazing all the guns and attacked the spinners. He completed his half century in just 25 balls. After rejecting Kohli, the Patidar continued in the same vein and provided a solid base for a large score.
2. Bumrah gets wicketless on return
The most anticipated news for listening to fans of India and Mumbai Indians was that Jaspreet Bumrah was about to include or return in a single. Finally, Star Paper made his most awaited comeback after the Sydney Test in January. Bumrah came to the fourth place of the innings. On his second ball, Kohli broke him for a six on the deep midwicket, making a big statement to him.
Although Bumrah did not lose his size at any level, he did not even see his normal, powerful self. He came close to taking wickets, but unfortunately fate did not make his way. His four overs went for 10, 5, 6, and 8 runs, finally in finishing with 0/29 figures.

Hardik Pandya, Mumbai Indians captain
It was a run-fest. The wicket was really good. I was just talking about myself. We were reduced with two hits, do not know what to say. The way the wicket was, there was not much space to really hide the bowlers. It came down for execution. You can stop the batsmen, but I do not want to be rigid on the bowlers. It was a difficult track, not much option. 5-10, perhaps 12 runs I can say (we considered more). The original skeleton of our team was batting under the salutation order. In the previous game, RO (Rohit) was unavailable, so someone had to push. He has a multi-dimensional game. Once the RO was back, we knew that Naman would have to come down.
Tilak was fantastic. A lot of things happened in the previous game, people made a lot of things. He did not know that he was a bad hit last day. Due to the finger he had, the coach felt that this is a better option if one could come fresh (and it can do it). But today he was fantastic. In such sports, powerplays are important. Over the couple, we were not able to get (enough runs) in the middle and pushed us back. He executed the death well and we could not play it well.
Rajat Patidar, Royal Challengers Bangalore captain and match players
It was a really amazing match. it was very hard. It was amazing to see the way the bowlers have shown their courage. The award goes to the bowling unit. It is not easy to stop any team, especially in this ground, and the way they have done it was incredible. The way fast bowlers carried out their plans were amazing. The way KP (Krunal Pandya) said that in the last over, it was not easy and the way he bowled was amazing. The way he showed courage was fantastic.
It was very clear (in the second time-out) that we had to take the game as deep as possible, and then we could use an over of KP in the last. The wicket was really amazing to bat. The typical Mumbai wicket, and the ball bounce was coming well on the bat. (When he decided to cut loose with the bat) After Hardik's over, I decided that I had to go all-out and do not worry about the wicket. I was just trying to influence the game and pressurize the bowlers.
