The Indian Premier League (IPL) in the 18th match of 2025, Punjab Kings (PBK) hosted Rajasthan Royals (RR) in Mulanpur. The home team was given a target of 206. PBKs struggled quickly and could not recover from the pressure created by RR bowlers. Despite a fight partnership between Glenn Maxwell and Nehal Wadhera, they decreased by 50 runs.
However, there was an unusual moment on the final ball of the match. It seems that RR had only three fielders inside the circle on off-side, with no one on leg-side, so that it is not possible. Ryan Parag Pointed it to the umpires. However, after a long investigation, the umpires ruled it legally. The wait for the umpire's decision lasted for a long time that Sanju Samson decided to sit on the ground.
However, the result did not affect the result where RR won the match, at the end two points and took the point to seventh position on the table.
