Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) is in a difficult place this season after losing three consecutive games in IPL 2025. To give them relief, Pacer Akash Deep is preparing to play the upcoming match against Mumbai Indians (MI) at his home ground, Jorat Ratna Shri Akapari Vajpari Vajpari Vajpari Cricket Stadium, Lucknow Vajpai Cricket Stadium. Sky deep Border-Gavaskar Trophy suffered a back injury during 2024 and has not been played in a single match since then.
Paes Baller started for LSG and has played very limited games in the IPL. He made his debut for RCB in 2022 and played only eight games in the league. His performance has not been impressive as per the standards of the tournament, as he has taken just seven wickets.
However, his inclusion in the team will help LSG strengthen their bowling attack as they lack some deadly pacers. The absence of pacers like Mayank Yadav and Mohsin Khan has impressed the team, which is very clear in the tournament. In the match against Punjab Kings (PBK), the team failed to take two wickets.
His struggle with the bowling line-up was exposed. This is the main reason that they need some good bowlers in the team, and the sky deep can provide that important success.

LSG lost its second game of the season against PBKS on 1 April. After the game, LSG owner Sanjeev Goenka was seen having an animated chat with Rishabh Pant, which was similar to what was with KL Rahul in IPL 2024. He was once again seen pointing the fingers in the captain during chat.
Neither the pants performed well, nor the team. His team combinations do not look good, as most batsmen failed to perform. It was Ayush Badoni (41 out of 33) and Nicholas Putra (44 out of 30), which helped him post a respectable total on board. However, PBK chased it and won the game comfortably eight wickets.
