West Indies cricketer Chris Gayle has chosen in his all-time playing XI Indian premiere league (IPL). Surprisingly, he left former Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma, who won five titles in the league as a captain and six as a player. The Caribbean batsman included Chennai Super Kings (CSK) all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja over Rohit.
Gayle came up with a solid top-order, including himself, Virat Kohli and Suresh Raina, which are very good in the league. His middle-order is the choice of AB de Villiers, Rabindra Jadeja, MS Dhoni and Dwayne Bravo. All the players have proved the records of finishing the game for their respective teams.
For pace bowlers, he named Jasprit Bumrah and Bhuvneshwar Kumar, but excluded Lasith Malinga. Malinga was a deadly bowler for MI and won some unexpected games to his team in a single-hand. He included his compatriot Sunil Narin and Indian leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal as spinners with Jadeja.
“Finally, I need two fast bowlers. However, I can't choose Malinga because I already have four foreign players, so I have to go with Bumrah now,” Gayle told Insidesport.
