Ride on an all-round show in his second match IPL 2025Delhi capitals won a seven -wicket win against Sunrisers Hyderabad on Sunday in Visakhapatnam.
Sunrisers Hyderabad opted to bat first, but Delhi Capital bowlers took wickets at regular intervals and eventually dropped the opponents for 163 in 18.4 overs. Pacer Michelle Starc scored a feeter, while Kuldeep Yadav raced for three wickets for the team.
Later, the batsmen dominated the bowling unit of Sunrisers Hyderabad completely. FAF DU PLESSIS declined in a quick-eagle half-century, while Jake Fraser-Makegurk (32 runs 32), wicket-keeper Batter Abhishek Porl (34* 18), KL Rahul (15 of 5) and Triston Stabs (21* of 14) also made valuable contribution.
During the post-match presser, Porl said, Poral said, “It was a great team's attempt and all contributed. (Michel) Stark really bowled well and then FAF (Do Placeis) really batted well. He is doing a good job for us. Jake Freshers-Makegur took his time, but he was really ready.
Talk about playing under the new captain Exer PatelPoral said, “Outside the field, Exer is very funny and on the field, he is a very inspired man. He is moving very well. Overall, the captaincy has really been good.”
When asked about his conversation with fellow wicketkeeper-better, the young man said, “KL Rahul has always been an elder brother for me. He really comforted me when I dropped the catch and further encouraged me to focus on batting and play my stroke. He really supported me.”
After two wins in two, Delhi Capital will face Chennai Super Kings in Chennai on April 5, 2025.
