Sunil, who had previously run an agency for a biscuit brand, switched to run an auto-rickshaw to ensure that Vignesh could participate in regular cricket training. When Vignesh coach CG Vijaykumar joined the Perinthalmanna Cricket Academy, his hard work was paid, who immediately paid attention to the youth's ability to spin the ball.

Sunil said, “Local media in Kerala swallowed the house till 7 am in the evening. He is my only son, and I wanted to support him best according to my ability. The only thing I wanted to do was to ensure that I supported his decision to pursue cricket,” Sunil said, as ESPNCRIINFO quoted.
