defending champion Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) defeated Rajasthan Royals (RR) by eight wickets at Barsapara Cricket Stadium, Guwahati in the match 6 of IPL 2025 and bounced back in style. Both teams needed both of them win after losing their initial games of the season, but KKR proved very strong even after 37.3 overs.

To bowl first, KKR's well -disciplined bowling unit placed RR at 151/9. In the absence of Sunil Narin, the bowlers were luxurious, with Varun Chakraborty (2/17), Moin Ali (2/23), Harshit Rana (2/36), and Vaibhav Arora (2/33) all contribute. Rajasthan's batsmen failed to find partnerships, and regular wickets meant that RR scored a sub-score on a good batting pitch.

Despite the introduction of RR on a promising note, D Coke found the top gear after his 36-goals, throwing eight fours and six sixes. He ruthlessly threw the short balls, scored 36 runs with bridge shots, and ended the match in style by clearing Jofra Archer's mass six. His sensational knock extended KKR towards victory with 15 balls, taking him to sixth place in standing as RR slipped downwards.

In Narre's absence, KKR bowlers successfully implemented their strategies. Moeen Ali proved his inclusion with a sharp mantra, and Chakravarti's variations suppressed the RR batsmen. Pesmen Arora and Rana ensured that no unions could take the middle order between RR. Although Spencer Johnson scored 42 runs, his initial success kept things under control.

In the absence of Sanju Samson, Ryan Parag seemed to be deep out. His bowling selection was uncertain, and his field placement was reactive, as KKR batsman Amok fled. Samson is not yet completely cured, RR will quickly lift the pieces and stop further failures.

KKR will try to capitalize on this speed, while RR needs to collapse his batting and complete the lack of experience as captain. With two gradual disadvantages, RR requires a revival to stay in hunting for IPL 2025.
