The sixth match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 was held at Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Rajasthan Royals (RR), Guwahati, Guwahati. Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) won the toss and opted for bowling first, aimed at analyzing fresh wicket and achieving the upper hand on the opposition.

Rajasthan Royals batsmen started with an aggressive intentions, scoring 54 runs for the loss of one wicket in the powerplay. However, his speed was short -lived as KKR bowlers hit the order between RR and hit quick succession. Varun Chakraborty was a standout artist with the ball, claiming two wickets, while scoring just 17 runs. Moeen Ali complemented him well, taking two wickets for 23 runs.

By the 11th over, RR found himself struggling for 5 at 82. Despite the failures, Dhruv Jurlel's valuable 33-row knock and late fireworks of Joffra Archer, including a few sixes, helped RR reach the honorable total of 151/9 by the end of 20 overs.

In response, KKR started carefully, managing only 40 runs inside the powerplay. However, the innings gained momentum in the middle overs as Quinton de Kock led the charge with a sensational unbeaten 97 off only 61 balls. His explosive batting performance ensured a comfortable pursuit, leading to KKR's victory eight wickets.

With this loud win, KKR opened its account in IPL 2025, showing a commanding performance with both bat and ball. Meanwhile, RR will bounce back more decisively in its upcoming fixtures.
