Gujarat Titans' Bowler Rashid Khan The Indian Premier League (IPL) has entered Elite Players Club after becoming the third fastest bowler to claim 150 wickets in history. The experienced right-arm leg spinner is famous for bowling and confusing batsmen in any stage of the game.
The player has been a part of the IPL since 2017 and has finally entered the list of legend bowlers, Lasith Malinga (105 games) and Yuzvendra Chahal (118 games). The spinner has played 122 games in the league and has demonstrated his mastery in T20 cricket. Rashid achieved this feat against Punjab Kings during the first game of Titans in Gujarat.
He dismissed PBKS opener Priyash Arya and achieved this feat. Arya broke the GT bowling attack when Rashid came in and rejected him by 47 runs by 47 balls. The batsman hit seven borders and two sixes when he was at the crease.
The fifth game between GT and PBK is running at a big speed as PBKS scored 243 runs on the board, courtesy Shreyas Iyer's 97* and Shashank Singh's 44*. Both batsmen wreaked havoc on GT bowlers at the end of the innings. Shashank scored 22 runs in the last over from Mohammad Siraj. GT bowlers were not very impressive, as they were super expensive in the innings.
However, R. Sai Kishore was the star bowler of the team, he took three wickets and scored just 30 runs in four overs. The game has reached an interesting point where the GT has the scope of chasing the mammath clan. As we write, Jose Butler and Sherfen Rutherford are trying to take their team home. It will be interesting to see how the game changes at the end of the second innings.
