'When I was nothing, KKR held my hand'


Ramandip Singh started his Indian Premier League (IPL) trip with Mumbai Indians (MI) before being planted by Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) for INR 20 lakh ahead of last season. The Punjab all -rounder played some important cameo as the Kolkata -based franchise removed the prestigious title for the third time.

Ramandip said that the franchisees who give opportunity to their players are worth loyalty in return. Born in Chandigarh, he said that earning money has not been his priority and his dream is to represent India and win the World Cup for his nation.

“IPL is a platform where opportunities are important, and the franchise that is behind you is entitled to your loyalty. Money does not matter so much. Obviously, money is important, but it was never about money[for me]My dream has always been to represent India and win the World Cup for the country, “Ramandip concluded.

The defending champion launched its campaign in IPL 2025 with a defeat at Royal Challengers Bangalore's house. Ajinkya will rotate the party led by Rahane on taking Rajasthan Royals in Guwahati on 26 March, Wednesday.
