Star-staded squad Kolkata Knight Riders On Wednesday, his doting fans were presented on the stage of the Nights Unplugged 2.0 event held at Biswa Bungalow Fair premises. It comes ahead of IPL 2025, before the much awaited opening of the side against Royal Challengers Bangalore.
A sea of more than 5,000 emotional fans gathered to see his cricketing heroes in purple and gold, lighting the atmosphere of enthusiasm ahead of the new season. Adding to the spectacle, the three championships of KKR were shown to be a will for the team's legacy.
The program also shown interactive activities, which immerse fans in the spirit of Knight Riders, as they were ready to rally behind their team for another exciting campaign.
Some of the prominent members of the squad present at the event, including Captain Ajinkya Rahane, Vice Captain Venkatesh Iyer, head coach Chandrakant Pandit, team mentor DJ Bravo and KKR CEO, Mr. Venki Mysore shared their views further with the new campaign.
Venki Mysore, Chief Executive Officer of Kolkata Knight Riders thanked the fans for his unconditional support: “This is actually an honor to be a part of this franchise. It gives me a cow pump to see the love and support received.
Ajinkya RahaneReturning as captain, said, “Come back with KKR and lead this amazing franchise with its rich history is great for an honor. We have a very good team this year. For us, it's about keeping it simple – we are really practicing well and everyone is on the same page. It's going to be a great season for us.”
Vice-Capten Venkatesh Iyer expressed, “It is an honor to be called a prominent player for this franchise with such rich history and heritage. The franchise has shown tremendous confidence in me and has given me a big break in my life. There is a lot of gratitude, and it is my duty to pay them back. I hope this journey will continue for a long time.”
Head coach Chandrakant Pandit reflected: “This three-year journey has been really surprising. Winning the trophy has always been special. Last year the title victory is not only for the players, but for the entire franchise-in which working behind the curtain, owners and especially fans helping to maintain our healthy environment.”
Dwayne Bravo, joined as mentor, added: “We are ready for this season, winning a lot of games, and hopefully defending our trophy. It is a great honor to be a part of this setup. Knight riders are given great respect worldwide, and captaining Knight Riders in Trinidad, where we got a big success, when the opportunity came from Venki Sir.
