Bruce said at the end of the game, “I don’t think it is actually drowned, to be fair at this time,” Bruce said at the end of the game. “This is clearly very special and some I am incredibly proud, and will definitely look back, perhaps after this game and perhaps once I have done my career, to think that it was very special and yes, that achievement is very proud of that achievement.”
After being unbeaten on 212 after the first day, he brought his triple-series with a dubbing towards the foot from his 379th delivery.
Bruce came to the crease with his team 29 for 29, which increased to 75 for 3. He again added 292 with Dan Clever for the fourth wicket and 303 for the fifth with Josh Clarkson – both new records for the Central Stag – finally before being caught under leg side sweeping at Louis Delport. The players of Auckland quickly made their way towards Bruce to congratulate him.
“I think I only scored a joint 50 runs, so it was a bit of a work for me,” Bruce said. “Obviously, going to this half of the four days [season]You know, I proud myself and wanted to contribute to the boys, so yes, I was disappointed with my form in that format.
