Turner (42) has been capded 20 times in limited -overs internationals, but his recent presence for Australia came in 2021. He spent the last three seasons in the last three seasons, playing county cricket for Durham at an average of 4.1 with a strike rate of 4.17 in the explosion, as well as creating an unbeaten century in one of his first class outs.
He has also created hundreds of presence in 2022 and 2023, with 13 presence for Manchester Originals, whose home ground Emirates Old Trafford.
“It is really exciting for me to have the opportunity to join one of England’s largest county cricket clubs,” said Turner. “Emirates Old Trafford is a stadium that I know best, followed my two years with Manchester Originals – I am looking forward to making it home again and drawing it to red roses this summer.
“The explosion is a competition that I liked to play, I always wanted to do when I test myself in the County Championship, so I can’t wait for it.”
Turner’s colleague will join Australian Marcus Harris, who has signed a season-long contract and is available for the first 11 rounds of championships in foreign teams at West Indies Quick Anderson Philips, Old Trafford.

“From my conversation with Ashton, I got the idea that he was very interested in playing for Lancashire. He was a powerful leader who had been captain of Perth Scorchers for several years in Big Bet and his experience around the world should serve our dressing room well.”
